Haight Fantasy I

22 x 16 After visiting the Haight-Ashbury section of San Francisco, I began thinking about the creative passions of the 1960s and contrasting that time with the present and pushing 1960s psychedelia into today's high tech culture. I designed the image using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, printed it onto cotton fabric using pigment inks, machine pieced, appliqued, and quilted, and hand beaded. I am honored that this piece was selected to travel in the "Dreaming the Garden" two-year exhibit, curated by Laura-Carter Woods. Sold - private collection. |
